3/5 VMA Video of the Year Nominees Are Dumb

Seems like it was slim pickens this year because Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake” was awful. Goyote’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” looked like something Tegan and Sara wouldn’t do five years ago. Drake’s “Take Care” featuring Rihanna, well, I didn’t even know there was a video for that. I’m just going to assume it’s lame, like the rest of his videos. Well, I’ve never watched a Drake video, so I’m just being sassy. The only two worth the Video of the Year nomination are Rihanna’s “We Found Love” and M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls.

I’m going to go ahead and say that “We Found Love” is Rihanna’s best video to date although, I do hate that denim mess she wears when she storms out of the car.

M.I.A’s “Bad Girls” better win Video of the Year. I’m serious. That video had me “bouncing like a trampoline” in my room, almost getting caught by my sister walking by. When I rap that song in the car, I have the same accent she does. Only thing that bothers me about the video is that I can’t drive my car off to one side. One of my tires has something stuck in it so I’m a little iffy on trying that until I can get that taken care of.

And don’t say “oh the VMA’s don’t matter.” Yes.They.Do. They matter to 12 year old girls like me.

The real Video of the Year wasn’t nominated, but its posted below.
